1. Introduction

The Kunlun & Kunlun Subsect patch marks the beginning of SnailGames revisiting existing skillsets and rebalancing them. NA server patch v0.0.1.390 rebalances the skillsets and inners of Royal Guards, Beggar's Sect, Wudang, Scholars, Ming Cult and Shenji. SnailGames USA, as usual, is lacking with proper patch notes and proper translations, so this article aims to fill the gap. Here is an overview.

2. Royal Guards - Blood Killing Knife Skill

3. Royal Guards - Soul Chasing Claw

  • Iron Force and Steel Fist: Parry stacks don't have an effect anymore. When used by Royal Guards disciples, the skill will knockback the enemy. The target can be knocked back once every 15 seconds.

  • Possessed by Ghosts: The parry stacks are only useful for slowing down the enemy.

4. Beggar's Sect - Lotus Palm

  • Submerge The Lotus - Overlord: Gain 11 seconds of True Lotus Qi: When [True Lotus Qi] is present, the [Lotus Blooming from the Fire] skill is released more quickly. If [True Lotus Qi] runs out naturally, the cooldown time of [Submerge The Lotus - Overlord] is reduced by 3.5 seconds. When [True Lotus Qi] is present, using [Lotus Blooming from the Fire] can also consume the [True Lotus Qi] and reduce the cooldown time of [Submerge The Lotus - Overlord] by 7 seconds, instead.

  • Lotus Blooming from the Fire - Overlord: This is the faster, reworked version of [Lotus Blooming from the Fire], only available after using [Submerge the Lotus - Overlord]. This version does consume a stack of the parry buff, regardless of level.

  • The entire skillset's splash damage is reworked so that they're not physical hits, thus they cannot be parried by the targets anymore. As a consequence, the splash damage the player inflicts, is based on the damage dealt to the main target, rather than being recalculated for every target the damage splashes to. Previously, this system only applied for [Green Lotus].

5. Beggar's Sect - Inners

  • Beggar's Sect 6th inner rework - Transcendence: When attacking, ignore 30% of enemy's defenses, and increase own damage by 10%, for 15 seconds. Previously, the player ignored 30% of enemy's defenses for 12 seconds, and there is no damage buff.

  • Beggar's Sect 6th inner rework - Lunar Flame: When attacking, have a chance to deal extra yang damage and reduce Transcendence's cooldown by 4 seconds. Previously, there was no cooldown-reducing effect.

  • Beggar's Sect 6th inner rework - Solar Calamity: It additionally reduces the enemy's damage output by 30% for 10 seconds. Previously, there was no damage output reduction effect.

6. Wudang - Inners

  • Wudang 6th inner rework: The player obtains guaranteed damage stacks when [Gas Transformation] or [Energy Traction] are triggered. Previously, it was only a chance.

  • Wudang 6th inner rework: Damage stacks are consumed by 1 per hit, rather than consuming all stacks at once.

7. Scholars - Falling Flower Sword

8. Scholars - Loose Leg Method

  • Ice Dissolves and Leaves Scatter: The amount of hits on this skill is reduced from 2 to 1. If the player has the [Leisure Skill] buff active, its duration is extended by 3 seconds. If the player doesn't have the buff, then they obtain one lasting 5 seconds. The parry buff is not required to be active for these effects.

9. Ming Cult - Divine Arrow Nine Skills

  • Sharp as a Halberd: Consume 2 stacks of [Flaming Meteor] to send the enemy flying when successfully parry breaking.

  • Shoot the Stone: It is now also instant cast when the player is on the ground. Previously, it had a charging time.

  • Singing Arrow - Mind and Vision: After casting the skill, obtain a buff for 6 seconds with a 10 second cooldown: Increase the skillset's damage by 30% and obtain a stack of [Flaming Meteor] every second. When airborne, the damage buff decays by 5% every second, and the player will not obtain [Flaming Meteor] stacks.

10. Ming Cult - Inners

  • Ming Cult 6th inner rework - Massive Destruction: The player deals an additional 30% damage when they're on the ground, rather than their yellow HP being greater than the opponent's.

  • Ming Cult 6th inner rework - Move the Sky with a Palm: When attacked, the player will obtain a 5 second shield that absorbs damage equal to 15% of their max HP. The cooldown is 25 seconds. Previously, the player obtained a shield that absorbed damage based on their yellow HP, and the cooldown was 40 seconds.

  • Ming Cult 6th inner rework - Move the Sky Burn the Sea: If the player triggers [Move the Sky with a Palm] within 25 seconds of triggering [Massive Destruction], they will obtain a 15% damage and 15% ignore defense bonus. If they trigger [Massive Destruction] within 20 seconds of triggering [Move the Sky with a Palm], they will gain a defensive bonus instead: Defenses increase by 50% seconds for 10 seconds. The bonus drops by 10% for every 2 seconds they are airborne. Previously, this buff recovered the player's yellow HP by 10% after [Move the Sky with a Palm] ran out.

11. Shenji - Dragon Insane Roar

  • Dragon Howl: [Dragon Pierces the Sea] consumes 50 less rage. The entire skillset's damage is increased by 25%. Previously, the skill awarded the player with 50 rage, and it increased the damage of all skillsets by 25%.

Note that this list is not comprehensive and certain skills may have been overlooked. This is due to the lack of proper patch notes from SnailGames. If there's any missing or incorrect information, let the author know!
